Nevada County Consolidated Fire District in conjunction with Grass Valley City Fire proudly enters their second year of the entry level training program for Interns.  This program continues to consist of ten (10) Firefighter academy student wishing to gain firefighter experience.  “The bookwork is completed and now the fieldwork starts,” states David Ray Battalion Chief and Program Coordinator.

The goal of the program is to assist the new Firefighter Academy Graduates gain the valuable field experience required for Firefighter I certification and The District will receive educated and energetic individuals to participate as Firefighters in training.
