Station 1
Station 1 is located at 472
Brighton Street, Grass Valley
 
Coverage Area:
The west side of the Grass Valley City Limits, west of Grass Valley along
McCourtney Road, including the Wolf Mountain and Clear Creek areas. Along
with Highway 20 west of Grass Valley to Rex Reservoir Road. Also, covers
the west side of Station 87's response area between 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.
Staffing Coverage:
Station 1 has full time staffing 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week. To do this we have 3 shifts (A, B, C) that work 48 hours with 4 days
off. Since this is one of our Joint Staffed Stations it is staffed with
one Grass Valley (GVFD)Employee and one Nevada County Consolidated (NCCFD)
Employee.
A-Shift: 1 GVFD Captain & 1 NCCFD Firefighter
B-Shift: 1 GVFD Firefighter & 1 NCCFD Captain
C-Shift: 1 GVFD Firefighter & 1 NCCFD Engineer
Engine 1: 2000 Freightliner FL70
600 Gallon Tank / 1000 GPM Pump
125 GPM Auxiliary Pump
40 Gallon Class A Foam Tank (CAFS) Compressed Air Foam System
This is a first out unit for all emergencies.
