Station 88 is located at 14518
Highway 49, Grass Valley.
Coverage Area:
Highway 49 corridor South of Grass Valley to Brewer Road, including the areas
surrounding Alta Sierra.
Staffing Coverage:
Station 88 has full time staffing 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week. To do this we have 3 shifts (A, B, C) that work 48 hours with 4 days
off.
A-Shift: 1 Captain & 1 Firefighter
B-Shift: 1 Engineer & 1 Firefighter
C-Shift: 1 Engineer & 1 Firefighter

650 Gallon Tank / 1500 GPM Pump
250 GPM Auxiliary Pump /40 Gallon Class A Foam Tank
This is a first out unit for all emergencies.
Water Tender 88: 1989 International Eagle
3600 Gallon Tank / 500 GPM Pump
This unit is used for water supply in rural areas that do not have a hydrant
system in place.
Utility 88: 1997 Ford F-150 4WD
This unit is used for miscellaneous district business. As well as a
command vehicle for duty captains.
Repair 5130: 2006 Ford F-550 4WD
Air Compressor & Winch
This is a mobile unit for apparatus maintenance and repair. Also used
on out of county assignments, for demobilization and on scene maintenance
repair.
